Cost is $60 per person when registering at the Academy.

Our program teaches women the necessary tools to survive and escape a threatening situation. Our program not only empowers a woman physically with simple, effective techniques for an escape, but also psychologically and emotionally by enabling her to maintain the presence of mind necessary to recognize or create an opportunity to get away.

Ever wonder about DMJJA History?

Well... here is a great story that was recently published by the Midwest Cage Championships about our very own gym. This may be old news to you, some of you may have never know. But in either case, I hope it helps you to understand a little bit about what we have accomplished as a group, including each of you, over the previous 10 years.

Congratulation Miguel and Estevan Carrasco

Miguel and his son Estevan took the opportunity to go to Chicago this weekend and compete in the North American Grappling Assocation (NAGA) tournament. They brought home three different 2nd place medals for their efforts. Miguel took 3rd in gi and no-gi and Estevan took 2nd in gi.
I know I am proud of the accomplishments of our team mates. Makes sure to give them some love the next time you see them.

Muay Thai Sparring on Friday moving to 6:30pm-7:30pm

Due to scheduling conflicts the Muay Thai sparring class will now be starting at 6:30pm on Friday evenings. This will be starting effective this Friday (9/30).

Join us at MCC 36: Back in Action Friday Sept 23

As many of you probably already know, our own Brian "Psycho" Sykes will be fighting on the card Friday evening. Please come down and watch his fight and visit us at our table at the show.

We always love seeing our guys and gals supporting the other team members from the academy.

Hope to see you there.

Gear Check Time

It is definitely time for a reminder to check your gear. Please spend a few minutes going through your gear bag and make sure the gear in there is yours. A prime example is, you wear a size 2 belt and you have a size 5 in your gear bag or locker. We have had several people lately whose gear has come up missing. That includes some gloves and items from the Club's stock pile of gear.
